For the third time in a year, Armagh have lost a championship match in a shoot out. The Kingdom impressively beat Tyrone by 2-18 to 12 points earlier in the day. The sides were level at six points apiece before Kerry scored the last three points of the first half. Kerry beat Cavan by 2-21 to 2-5 in Tralee.
